GoServicePro has an integrated parts management system that provides a place to set up all of the parts your company deals with.  These include parts you service, parts you manufacture, spare parts, inventory parts, and more.  Comprehensive features like revisions, parts catalogs, domains, bill of materials, and alternates make it easy to manage all of your parts.

Part Information

  • Part information includes pertinent information such as part number, model number, description, family, line, etc
  • Attachments functionality enables the attaching of pictures, service manuals, or websites to the part master record
  • The installed at link provides quick identification of sites where your products are installed
  • The vendors link displays the vendors that you normally source the part from

Revisions

  • Revisions functionality allows you to keep the same part master record but apply revisions when minor design changes or software revisions occur
  • Revision information is useful to identify the not only the major component part but also changes that have occurred over time

Alternates

  • Alternates allows you to specify the appropriate replacement parts for the current part
  • Alternates are very useful in logistics processing to help personnel find appropriate pare parts to send to customers or technicians

Bill of Materials

  • Bill of materials allows you to build a hierarchical representation of the sub component that are typically found in a high level part
  • The system can optionally install all of the sub components into a customer’s site assets when the higher level part is installed

Part Pricing

  • Parts can have multiple price and cost schedules associated to them
  • This is particularly useful if you maintain multiple price books depending on the type of customer you are servicing
  • GoServicePro enables you to store historical pricing information

Part Catalogs

  • Part catalogs offer you the flexibility of grouping parts into catalogs to better organize your parts
  • Part catalogs are useful when displaying part information to field engineers insuring they are selecting from a list of parts applicable to the type of work they are performing or the type of machine they are servicing

Part Domains

  • Part domains allow you to define characteristics for groups of parts
  • Domains control things such as part serialization, inclusion in part catalogs, rules for installation into site asset configurations, etc
